Although I'm a practicing Catholic, I struggled to purchase something so religious and personal for my teenage step-son for his Confirmation. We had this delivered to us so that we could write a personal note on the inside page.My Step-son was amazingly receptive! He's discussed a few of the prayers/teachings in phone/skype/facetime calls. Our favorite was the prayer that discussed self-respect and self-worth, which was very appropriate for a teenager who's having a tough time.
My 16-year-old nephew started reading it immediately after I gave it to him. It is a must have for teen boys as they navigate through a confusing world.
This was one of the gifts we gave to our teen nephew for his confirmation. It is a small book, size and length, so it would be easy to carry and store wherever life might take the young men in your life.
After reading a daily devotion, I thought it could have been better written for teens. It's semi-stoic, bland & just would assist young men (& women) to get closer to Christ of it was a bit happenin'. If you know what I mean.
As this was a gift for my grandson I started reading it myself to check this book out. It is a wonderful book for young men. It will not take a long time to get through, but the good advise inside should help them form and make good decisions. So important.
My 12 year old nephew loved the book and carried it around wherever he went when he first got the book.

Though these are encouraging, well intended and insightful prayers, there's VERY little direct reference to Bible scriptures. Would be great as a supplemental to a daily devotion.
