Somehow my review got posted as a Kid's review so I am trying this again.I fell in love with Bones when I saw the pilot episode five years ago. When the first colorful Bones episode companion for seasons 1 and 2 was published, I jumped on it, and recently purchased the second one.The thing I love most about these episode guides is that you get gorgeous pictures on glossy stock, an in-depth episode explanation, forensic information about the case, and songs played during the episode. In the back is a guide to each of the characters and their history up to the end of season 4.My only quibble is that Dr. Zack Addy got one page, while they used two pages to discuss the rotating interns.The show has been renewed for seasons 5 and 6 so we can expect another gorgeous episode guide in a few years.
This and Ruditis's companion volume to the first two "Bones" seasons, both of which I bought from Amazon, are superb records of this outstanding TV serial: incredibly bright color photography and graphic effects on every page, bios of the major characters and historical information about the creation and constant tinkering with plot and characters from the pilot forward as the series moved out of the minds of the creators and writers and cast onto the screen and grew in popularity. It's a romance, a comedy with gore and glamour, and the sensitive viewer has to shift his mental and emotional gears to a new level . . . and there you find Booth and Tempe and Co. waiting for you! I regard "Bones" the series as the "intellectual's reward" that counter-balances the usual shoot 'em up cop drama.
I've never understood the use of companion guides for TV shows until I was gifted the first counterpart to this Bones: The Official Companion for Christmas. This guide does not let you down if you loved the first one! Not only is it beautiful and filled with pictures and episode details, but it lets you in on a bit more. I especially love the scientific words on the side of the pages! If you love "Bones" and especially if you like to have a "Bones" resource then this is the guide for you!Especially helpful for people who write "Bones" fanfic :D Will help keep your work canon and give you some nice details!
I’ve enjoyed this book/fan book! It has a lot of cool information pictures and special topics covered from quotes from interviews from the actors, episode quotes and dialogue and just fun stuff and stories etc!

I'm a bone-iffied Bones addict so this was just fodder for my addiction. It covers every episode of the series and each character. I really thought I knew everything about Bones but these 2 books covering the first 4 years really goes into detail. Everytime I find myself with a question about an episode I head for the bookshelf. They haven't failed me yet.
More of a great TV series. As with the rest of the series, the characters are well crafted, the plots are clever, and the dialog is funny. More fun to watch without the commercials breaking up the story flow. Same heroine, but very different from the Kathy Reichs books.
Great book to read, keeps you on the edge with adventure and forensic buffs would love it.
